WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree during a regular Cabinet meeting on Friday to present cash gifts to women across the country for International Women’s Day, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media.
The document recognizes the contribution of women to the prosperity of the country and the upbringing of a healthy generation devoted to their homeland. This aligns with Presidential Resolution No. 1152 dated February 27, 2019, regarding the awarding of cash gifts to women.
From March 1 to March 6, 2025, women and girls working in enterprises and institutions of any ownership type, as well as pensioners, beneficiaries of social benefits, graduate students, doctoral students, clinical residents, university students, and schoolgirls will receive gifts amounting to 60 manats.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed the Vice Premier for Economic Affairs, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, to present the gifts to women and girls in a ceremonial setting.
Additionally, ceremonies will take place to honor mothers awarded the honorary title Ene mähri, and keys to new apartments will be given to mothers of multiple children.
The Cabinet meeting also addressed several other issues concerning state affairs and made corresponding decisions.
