Mediation-Not An Easy Task

Give and take is an essential feature of every truce between all warring parties. Permanent truce between Tehran and Washington isn’t going to be an easy task. Both parties have to shun their hardline stand.

Granted that acting as a mediator between them was a goodwill gesture but the fact remains that it also amounts to putting an hand into hornets nest because of intransigence of both the parties.

The result of Pakistan’s mediation can go either way. It can achieve its objective which will be a bonanza for Islamabad. It can boomerang and backfire also .The well wishers of Islamabad are keeping their fingers crossed and hoping that Pakistan’s efforts will pan out as desired by its leadership.
