WNAM REPORT: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), has expressed serious concerns over the District administration’s order to close wedding halls, cafes, restaurants and snooker clubs from October 12 to 16 on the account of security on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Conference.
RCCI President, Usman Shaukat, said in a statement that Pakistan’s economy is going through a difficult period, in such a situation, not only billions of rupees will be lost due to the closure of business activities, on the other hand the government will also lose tax revenue, we demand that the administration withdraw the notices.
President Chamber Usman Shaukat said that there has been a loss of 180 billion rupees due to the closure of business and mobile networks in the twin cities due to the protest last week, which has been admitted by the finance minister himself. The shutdown orders are a complete overreach, we cannot afford any more economic crisis, he added.
