WNAM MONITORING: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a meeting with Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, member of the House of Representatives Akihisa Nagashima.
Kazakhstan attaches great importance to strategic partnership with Japan. Our countries enjoy a close relationship built upon friendship and mutual understanding, said Tokayev.
The Kazakh leader pointed out considerable potential for greater trade and economic, investment as well as scientific and technological cooperation between the nations.
As Tokayev said, the amount of Japan’s investments in the Kazakh economy exceeded 8 billion US dollars, as the country stands ready to offer favorable conditions for foreign investors, including advanced Japanese companies.
Conveying the warm greetings from Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. Akihisa Nagashima confirmed Tokyo’s firm commitment to further strengthening of Kazakh-Japanese multifaceted relations.
The interlocutors highlighted the importance of enhancing the high-level political dialogue as well as discussed prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, transport, education, climate and cultural-humanitarian sphere.
