Moscow has benefitted more than Beijing after both these countries started to shun their differences and showed cordiality to each each other After the second world war a lull remained in their attitude with each other and there were a number of reasons for it. China was unhappy that Moscow helped militarily India in the border
Skirmishes of India with China by supplying military hardware to New Delhi . Mao TSE Tung was of the view that Nikita Khrushchev was defaming Marxism by acting against the basic Marxlst’ concepts . The Soviet leadership didn’t want Mao leading the communist bloc in the world.
There is no denying the fact that after the departure of Stalin., MOSCOW didn’t have a strong  leader like him for a long long time with the result that American CIA through its machination was able to blow Soviet Union into smithereens.
Putin is sensible enough to realise that he will stand to gain politically if Russia hit it off with China.
So after he entered citadel of power in the Kremlin, relationship between Moscow and Beijing improved considerably. Washington is visibly unhappy over cordiality between China and Russia, which has resulted into formation of a strong communist bloc in the world.
