Unless the government bans the display and use of prohibited bore weapons like Kalashnikov rifles, the incidence of mass murders and killings in the country cannot be controlled. The elite class seems to be a big hurdle in the way of amending the law in the matter, as it is the filthy rich who fancy display of this fatal weapon which their bodyguards carry. They hold sway over the powers that be by their presence in the corridors of powers.
As a matter of fact prohibited bore weaponry should be in the possession of only armed forces, para military force and police. If some top gun wants to keep any weapon in his possession for his safety due to a blood feud, the district magistrate can issue him an arms license of non-prohibited bore weapons after due verification of his credentials and after his satisfaction that there is a threat to his life at the hands of his enemies.

Judicial reforms are badly needed to end dynastic politics from the country which has turned it as personal fiefdom of heads of all political parties worth their salt, except JI. It won’t be wrong to bill the parliamentary system as kingship or monarchy.
The Governor and the CM of KPK belong to the same district and are distantly related also but they are treading a political path which runs in opposite directions. Sometime one gets an impression as if they are settling some of their personal scores and in the process make themselves a laughing stock of political observers. Both are almost in the same age group and didn’t have enough administrative experience needed for fulfilling the responsibilities placed on their shoulders. Small wonder the law and order of the province they head has touched its nadir.
