ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): President of the Islamabad Tyres Association (ITA), Riaz Khan, has called on the government to make 2026 a year for the promotion of business activities. He said that with government support, the economic challenges facing the country can be effectively addressed.

He emphasized that in the new year the government should simplify and make the tax system business-friendly and abolish the enforcement of the POS system so that the business community can invest without fear and harassment. Reforms in the FBR, an end to unnecessary notices, and the elimination of harassment will help restore business confidence.
Riaz Khan further stated that stability in electricity and gas prices, a reduction in interest rates, and the provision of easy loans for small and medium-sized enterprises are essential. He also stressed the need to introduce special incentives and a one-window operation to encourage investment by overseas Pakistanis.
