Many tongues have started wagging over the recent deal between Washington and Riyadh under which Saudi Arabia would be allowed enrichment of uranium. It is being rumored that in lieu of this deal Saudi Arabia would recognize Israel and soften its hardline policy against it.
The critics fear that this deal would snowball into many similar deals which other middle east countries would also like to enter with the US thus maximizing threat of destruction of world with nuclear power. They are also critical of double standards in the matter . While Iran is being penalized on its enrichment of uranium program Saudi Arabia is being allowed a leeway in the matter. What is sauce for the goose should be sauce for gander too, they maintain.
