Our elders used to say that all kingdoms of the world would vanish gradually except the kingdom of God. Who could have thought that the mighty Roman empire would disappear one day or world will witness the downfall of the Ottoman empire.
In the not_too distant past we saw sun setting on King Farook of Egypt, Shahinshah of Iran and King Zahir Shah of Afghanistan. Even Britain which used to boost that Britania rules the waves has been cut down to size by the second world war with the liberation of its umpteen colonies in Africa and Asia which Britain’s dwindling economy could not hold due to financial setback faced by it after the second world war.
