WNAM REPORT: The Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA) announced that a unanimous decision was made to include the National Museum of Wildlife of Turkmenistan in EARAZA after it has been accredited.
This decision was made based on an application from Turkmenistan, as well as the results of the International EARAZA Conference, at which the activities of the zoo were presented.
The visit of the accreditation commission to approve the membership of the Ashgabat Zoo in EARAZA is planned for the end of September – beginning of October. The exact dates will be agreed upon later, zoologist, professor E.A. Rustamov, representing the interests of the Ashgabat Zoo in EARAZA, as per reports.
