There are many hilly tracts in the country which could have been converted into small hill stations. Chirat, near Pabbi Sheikh Badin near DIK, Fort Sandeman in Balochistan are to mention a few. Likewise, Razmak lying in close proximity to Miran Shah which the Brits used to call Chota London, Small London is another hilly tract which has the potentialities of becoming a very good hill station. Unfortunately, it has escaped the attention of those who are charged with the task of developing hill stations in the country. In this context Wana ,the summer headquarter of South Waziristan administration is another place which has the basic characteristics of becoming a very good hill station. Chitral too could have been developed into a really very good hill station. Its ethereal heights and snow capped Tirich Mir is a treat to watch Trout fish which can survive only in cold fresh running river water and is found in abundance is a mouth watering food of Chitral. The three valleys of Kalash people believed to be remnants of the forces of Alexander the great when they attacked and occupied these valleys thousands of years ago enthrall the tourists visiting them with their scenic beauty
At the moment Murree and its adjoining Galyaat area is bearing the entire brunt of tourists of plain areas visiting hilly areas to escape scorching heat of summer or to enjoy snow fall in winter. If the aforementioned hilly areas are developed they are bound to attract local as well as foreign tourists also provided these hill resorts are properly advertised in the media. Thandiani is another hilly tract overlooking Abbotabad which could have been developed into a good hill resort.
