Lately, there had been tremendous increase in the terrorists attack on Pakistani forces masterminded by Afghanistan in cahoots with India. Islamabad has been exhibiting astonishing sang froid by tolerating them and not exercising its right to retaliate but the patience of common man has been wearing thin on the delay in giving Kabul a befitting reply so when Pakistan air force targeted the hideouts of Khawarij inside Afghanistan the other day common man heaved a sigh of relief as any further delay replying them would have been construed as Pakistan’s weakness.
It is a pity that right from the day Pakistan was created Kabul rulers whether they were kings,communists or Islamists ,all of them had one thing in common and that is soft corner for India and inherent hatred for Pakistan. What type of Muslims they are, God knows only. They have always given preference to India in every matter over Pakistan. India never ever criticised suicide bombings inside Pakistan but was quick to react over the bombing of the hideouts of terrorists in Afghanistan by the PAF the other day. What other proof is needed if any proof was needed to show the close links of these two countries who have been instrumental in masterminding suicide bombings inside Pakistan for quite some time now.
Whether it is Pakistan Army, Navy or Air Force, the mode of selection of rankers or officers in these defence forces is such that there is no room for recommendation of any higher up in their selection process. Only the best of the best get selected. Recruitment is done on merit and merit only after many tough tests; This is a far cry from the recruitment procedure which is made in other state institutions of the country. To get promotion from one rank to other is also no easy task in the armed forces. The candidates have to pass many war courses. So whenever any Military Officer or Jawan is martyred by the terrorists the heart of every patriot Pakistani bleeds. But more shocking for him is when any person nourish soft corner in his heart for perpetrators of terrorism on our soldiers and speak ill of them. Afghanistan has proved itself to be a very bad neighbour of Pakistan. It is a pity that some politicians in this country talk with their tongue in cheek about the Afghan government whenever there is a need to criticise it vehemently on its anti Pakistan role.
The Afghanis have earned a bad name in Germany also where they are being arrested for indulging in killing the locals with knives. It is a matter of concern for Pakistan that over twenty thousands terrorists live in Afghanistan. These include 7000 belonging to TTP who are involved in suicide bombings in Pakistan as a result of which tension is mounting between Islamabad and Kabul. Reportedly AlQaida has been running training camps for terrorists in Afghanistan.
POST SCRIPT: The sober element inside the PTI has appreciated the opposition from within the party against the raising of a force to get its chairman released from prison. There is no gainsaying the fact that there can be only one force in a country and that belongs to the state. If every political party worth its salt was allowed to set up it’s force danger of anarchy in that country can’t be ruled out then.
