ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid held one-hour live E-Katcheri session on Tuesday at BISP Headquarters. The purpose of the session was to directly hear public concerns and ensure their prompt and effective resolution. Director Generals and relevant officers of BISP also attended the session.
During the live E-Katcheri, 36 callers from across the country spoke directly with the Chairperson and shared their concerns. Senator Rubina Khalid listened carefully to all complaints and directed the concerned officials to ensure timely resolution, emphasizing that any negligence in addressing public issues would not be tolerated.
Extending her greetings to beneficiaries on the occasion of Ramadan, Senator Rubina Khalid announced that the quarterly stipend under the Benazir Kafalat Programme has been increased by Rs. 1,000. As a result, eligible women will now receive Rs. 14,500 instead of Rs. 13,500, and the disbursement of the new installment has started from today. She further announced that stipends under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Benazir Nashonuma programmes have also been increased by Rs. 500 each, to further support children’s education and improve maternal and child nutrition.
The Chairperson urged beneficiaries to count their payments carefully and receive the full amount, and not to accept any deductions. She stressed that any complaint regarding unauthorized deductions should be reported to BISP immediately so that strict action can be taken against those responsible. She added that the programme is named after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and encouraged women to follow her example by courageously raising their voice against any injustice.
Regarding digital wallets, Senator Rubina Khalid advised that beneficiaries who have not yet received their free SIM for the digital wallet should visit the nearest BISP office to obtain it and keep it secure, as it will serve as their digital payment wallet. All future payments will be made through these SIM-linked digital wallets, and BISP staff will assist beneficiaries in activating them.
She also clarified that the registration survey is completely free of charge, with no forms or fees involved, and that all BISP services are provided free of cost. She reiterated that 8171 is the only official BISP number, and any message received from other numbers should be treated as fake. In case of complaints, beneficiaries may contact the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
