WNAM REPORT: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has termed that the establishment of Business Facilitation Center (BFC) will transform Rawalpindi into a business hub. It is a key initiative towards ease of doing business (EODB) which will provide seamless interaction between the business community and 36 different departments.
Saqib Rafiq, President RCCI, while addressing the opening ceremony of the Business Facilitation Center in Rawalpindi, said that the establishment of BFC was a long-standing demand of Rawalpindi Chamber which was fulfilled, a dream that was fulfilled by the efforts of Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
Saqib Rafiq further said that the Punjab Chamber of Commerce Coordination Committee established by the Chief Minister had suggested that we should have a one-window facility where there is no red tape but a warm welcome for the investor. Provincial Minister SM Tanveer, Secretary Industries Ehsan Bhatta worked proactively and made the Chief Minister’s vision a reality. The joint efforts of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta and DGRDA Saif Anwar Jhapa went successful for the establishment of the business center and completed it within the stipulated time frame.
He said that this is an important step to facilitate investment and industrialization in the region. This will increase business activities. He thanked the provincial government for the upgradation of and the initiation of other projects including the link road of Rawat Industrial Estate.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was the chief guest of the opening ceremony. On this occasion, provincial cabinet members and officials of district administration, officials of Chamber of Commerce, former presidents, president of Small Chamber, Women Chamber, representatives of Anjuman Tajran Rawalpindi and a large number of businessmen were also present on the occasion.
